I do apologize for the title error. It was supposed to say: “Percolating Corn.”

Percolated corn is very much like popped corn, but because of the way it is heated to pop, the corn forms an almost perfectly symmetrical flower shape. Its origins are in the southwest region of the U.S. For more information, please refer to the Legal section.

In any event, when entering this site, it is required that the right-side of your brain is, at the very least, maintaining a nice idle. If it is not, you must jump-start it before going further. Imagination is required here.

If you did not bring an imagination, you are in the wrong place. You will get lost. You will not understand. Continuing with only the left-side of your brain may cause confusion and vertigo. Driving could be dangerous. Consult your physician.

I would bet that you, as well as all the other visitors drawn in by that headline, fall into one of the following three groups (and I’m not, even in the least, judging any of them … well, except maybe group 2):

1) Those hoping to find porn (only to be disappointed)

2) Those appalled at the idea of porn, ready to write letters, boycott me and anyone who supports me (they’ll be disappointed, too)

3) Those who are just curious. This group will most likely not be disappointed, and maybe even amused as to how I came to this (was that another pun?).

Originally, I was going to call them my Kaleide-icons, which is exactly what they are. They are kaleidescope images I created digitally from a photo … and no, knowing what the original photo was would eliminate the imagination. Hello?

If you look closely, you will see that they are the exact same image with different colors. With the color alone, the one on the left looks very much like a red flower. Even though the icon on the right is the same image, I don’t see a flower. By the way, many flowers, especially those from the tropics, are known to resemble very erotic … uh, places.

What is “porn” anyway? According to the authoritative Merriam-Webster Dictionary: “pornography” is “behavior or material intended to cause sexual excitement.” If anyone achieved any level of arousal with these icons, please seek appropriate help.

So, what precipitated this? It has come to my attention that many people go to their favorite search engine (e.g., Google, Yahoo, etc.) and enter: MATURE.COM

I don’t know why, other than the obvious spelling similarity, but the search engine will often respond: “We can’t find MATURE.COM — would you care to try MATRE.COM?” And they do, but usually don’t stay long when they realize I don’t have what they are looking for.

For all others, let your imagination run wild, and enjoy.
