If you’re looking, interesting architecture can be found almost anywhere. What was originally the IBM Building in Atlanta is one of my favorite skyscrapers — but you must look up.

Not that the entrance to the Peachtree City Public Library has had a profound effect on me, but it just happens to be the most interesting architectural design element within a three-mile radius of my studio.

I shot this view of the library’s entrance [right] last night while doing some other “drive-by shooting” — the photographic kind. Continue reading »

Prints à la carte

Since people have their own preferences in what they want in purchasing prints, I now have three options, each offering its own unique features. I consider all of these a work in progress:

Photographic Prints:
I have teamed up with a high-end commercial lab to provide a less expensive option to Giclée prints. These photos are set-up for ease of framing at your local frame shop. This option is for purchasing prints only, prints that you would then frame locally (see “Framing Suggestions” below). Continue reading »

The positive side of negative archives.

Even though I’m really not that old, I have been shooting for over 40 years. I was just a kid when I bought my first 35mm camera. After I got it, I hit the local library and taught myself how to process film and make prints. Does “silver halide” mean anything to you?

For those familiar with motorcycle racing, Kenny Roberts is a legend.

During the 1970s, after multiple National Championship Titles for both dirt track and road courses, Kenny ventured out to the only series left: he joined the FIM World GP Road Racing Series.

The World GP is where the top racers from around the globe, riding the most secretive, most exotic hand-built machines, and compete on the single most demanding race track in each participating country.

King Kenny’s Way

In typical fashion, Kenny Roberts won the FIM World GP Road Racing Championship Series his very first year out — something no one else has ever done. Continue reading »

My old Bianchi Tipo Corsa 28T — #46

Bianchi is an Italian company that has been building bicycles for over 125 years.

I bought this limited-edition Bianchi — the Tipo Corsa — back when the company was only about 95 years old. It’s hand-built and constructed with all Campagnolo “Novo Record” components. Continue reading »
